If you are the meeting host and need to start or join a scheduled meeting, there are several ways that you can join the meeting. As the host, you can start the meeting from the Zoom Workplace desktop or mobile app, the Zoom Web app (web browser), the Zoom Web portal, a SIP/H.323 device, email, or Zoom Room.
You can start a meeting by phone as the host using your host key. Learn more about starting a meeting by dial-in.
Note: If you are invited to another Zoom user's meeting, learn how to join the meeting.

Home tab
- Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
- Click the Home tab

Note: If you do not see the Home tab, click the More tab
, then click Home.
Meetings that you have scheduled or have been invited to will be listed in chronological order for today. - (Optional) Click the ellipses icon to filter and search for meetings.
- Click the Zoom meeting you want to start.
- On the meeting card, click Start.

- Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.

Notes:- If you have set up the calendar and contacts integration to connect your calendar, you will have the Calendar tab. If you haven’t connected your calendar, you will have the Meetings tab.
- If you do not see the Calendar or Meetings tab, click the More tab
, then click Calendar or Meetings.
- Click the Zoom meeting you want to start.
- On the meeting card, click Start.
Web browser
- In your browser’s address bar, type zoom.new.
This action will take you to the Zoom Workplace app if it’s installed on your device or Zoom Web app if no Zoom Workplace app was detected.
Note: Both actions will take you to a sign-in page if you have not yet signed in. - The Invite window will pop-up so you can select your preferred invite options.
If the invite dialogue does not automatically pop-up or you want to invite more participants, proceed to step 3. - In the meeting controls toolbar, click Participants
. - At the bottom of the Participants panel, click Invite. .
A pop-up window will appear. - Choose from the available invite options then click Invite.
- (Optional) Click Copy invite link or Copy invitation.
Note: Meetings started using zoom.new follows the host’s personal default settings configured under Settings > Meeting tab. Any settings and policies enforced by the account owner and admins will also take effect in this meeting such as having meeting passcode or waiting room enabled.
