- Log in to https://wcui.orbundsis.com/.
- On the left menu, go to Communication > Instant Alerts.
- In this tutorial, we will be using an existing Instant Alert template by simply selecting one.
Tip: To learn how to create a new instant alert template, please read the Creating Instant Alert Templates in Orbund article. - Add your recipients by using the Add Students, Add Instructors, Add Staff, Add Contacts, Add Groups, and the Remove buttons. For this example, we will add some staff members by clicking on Add Staff.
- Add recipients by selecting the checkbox of the desired recipient(s), clicking the Add button, then click the Close button.
Note: If you are selecting all students, selecting All Students does not select all students on all pages. You must go to each page and select all students. - Select the email checkbox. (SMS is currently not supported.)
- You may edit the Subject and Message Type if needed.
Tip: To learn how to create a new instant alert template, please read the Creating Instant Alert Templates in Orbund article. - By default, instant alerts that have been sent are saved in individuals accounts in Orbund to view later. If you wish not to do this, you can deselect the Save Copy in Correspondence Folder checkbox.
- To send your email, you can click the Send button.
