If you're running into an issue that requires our support team to remote into your device, and you haven't already submitted a ticket, please reach out to support@smithchason.edu first. Once you have a ticket open, follow the steps below to get TeamViewer downloaded and ready to go.
Step 1: Open the Download Link
On the device you're having the issue with, open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and visit the link:
https://custom.teamviewer.com/sccstudent
The TeamViewer software will automatically begin downloading.
Step 2: Open the Downloaded File
Once the download finishes, click on the downloaded file to open it.
Step 3: Allow the App to Make Changes
Select Yes when prompted, "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?"
Step 4: Accept the Agreements
Accept the EULA and Data Processing Agreement if prompted, then select Continue.
Step 5: Reply With Your ID and Password
TeamViewer will open and generate Your ID number and a Password. Reply to your support email with both of these so our technician can connect.
Step 6: Leave the Software Running
Please keep TeamViewer open while you wait. This allows our support technician to connect and assist you once they're ready.
Step 7: Close the Software
Once your issue has been resolved, you're free to close out of TeamViewer.
If you run into any trouble during this process, follow up in your existing ticket, and we'll be happy to help.
Note: If the session ends abruptly, or if you close out of the software before your issue is resolved, it will generate a new password.
