Requirements to Join a Microsoft Teams Meeting
- You will need speakers or a phone (not recommended for audio) to listen to the meeting.
- You do not need a microphone, webcam, or phone to communicate in meetings if you don't mind using the chat function.

Join a Video Meeting with Microsoft Teams
Follow the directions below to connect to join a video meeting in Microsoft Teams.
- Log into https://www.office.com and click the Teams icon.
- On the left navigation menu, click the Calendar button.
- Find the meeting you want to join, and click the Join button.
If the join button is missing, please click the meeting, then click the Join button. - You can now set up your webcam. Listed below are some options you can select from.
- Adjust Your Settings. You can turn on and off your webcam as well as mute your microphone as you enter the meeting.
- Configure Your Devices. You can configure your webcam, microphones, and other devices by click the Devices button.
- Connect via Phone. If you have no webcam or microphone, but wish to still talk with the group, you can click the Phone Audio button to connect using a phone.
- Connecting with No Microphone/Phone. You may still chat with everyone in the meeting if you wish. Microphones and other methods of connecting with a webcam, microphone, or phone is not required to participate in a meeting. To learn how to chat in a Microsoft Teams meeting, click here.
- Adjust Your Settings. You can turn on and off your webcam as well as mute your microphone as you enter the meeting.
- Click the Join Now button once you're ready to go.
