Passwordless sign-in allows you to securely access your account using the Microsoft Authenticator app, no password required. Follow the steps below to enable this feature.

Before You Begin

Make sure:

• You have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed.
• You have a device password, PIN, or biometric set up on your phone.

Steps to Enable

Step 1

Open the Authenticator app and select the account you want to setup.

Step 2

Select “Set up passwordless sign-in request.”

Step 3

Review the prerequisites, then select Continue.

Step 4

When prompted, authenticate using MFA (multi-factor authentication) or your password + MFA.

Step 5

Once verified, the setup will complete automatically.

Verify Your Setup

To confirm that passwordless sign-in is enabled:

• Open the Authenticator app.
• Select your account.
• Under “Ways to sign in or verify”, you should now see:
